Job description
Role Overview
This position is part of the banquet and events service team at a luxury hotel in Berlin. The focus is not limited to serving food and drinks; it is about helping create smooth, memorable guest experiences from setup through completion of the event.
What You Will Do
- Support banquet and event service activities across the full event cycle.
- Prepare rooms and materials before service begins and assist with clearing and dismantling afterward.
- Move supplies and event items as needed.
- Take guest orders and deliver service in a polished, attentive manner.
- Interact with guests in a way that contributes to a refined event experience.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned to help ensure excellent service.
Working Standards
You are expected to maintain a safe workplace, follow company procedures, meet quality expectations, and present yourself professionally in appearance, behavior, and communication. The role is physically active and involves prolonged standing, sitting, or walking, as well as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Qualifications
The preferred education level is a high school diploma or equivalent GED. Prior related work experience of less than 1 year is preferred. No supervisory background is required, and no license or certification is needed.
