About The Role

Join The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, a pinnacle of luxury hospitality nestled along the Arabian Gulf, boasting 374 sophisticated rooms, acclaimed dining options, and world-class wellness amenities. As a Commis 2 in Banquet, you will be part of a team dedicated to creating exceptional experiences, upholding our legendary brand's standards. This role is non-management and full-time, based onsite at our resort in West Bay Lagoon, Doha.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food ingredients by portioning, chopping, peeling, washing, and storing to ensure readiness for cooking.
• Follow recipes and quality guidelines to prepare and cook dishes, including cold food items, ensuring proper portioning and presentation.
• Operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test food to verify correct cooking levels and monitor quality throughout preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness by disinfecting kitchen areas, tools, and equipment, and ensure temperature controls for appliances and food are accurate.
• Set up and break down your workstation properly to maintain an organized kitchen environment.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies, promptly report any hazards, accidents, or maintenance needs.
• Maintain professional personal appearance and confidentiality of company information.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues to foster positive team relationships and support shared goals.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant food preparation or culinary experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification necessary.
