About the Property

The Ned Doha is housed in the historic former Ministry of Interior building and features seven dining outlets, 90 guest rooms, event spaces, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club with access to a rooftop terrace, health club, spa, gym, and a 30-meter outdoor pool.

Role Overview

This position is for a motivated Commis I to support a fine-dining culinary brigade in a luxury hotel setting. The role focuses on helping senior chefs deliver high-quality dishes while upholding strict standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene.

Key Duties

You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie in day-to-day prep and service, contributing to smooth kitchen operations and a consistent guest experience.

• Support senior chefs with daily food preparation and service tasks
• Cook, plate, and present menu items in line with fine-dining and luxury brand expectations
• Complete mise en place accurately and within required timeframes
• Keep all work areas tidy, clean, and well organized
• Apply HACCP, food safety, and hygiene procedures without exception
• Help manage stock movement and store ingredients correctly
• Assist the kitchen team during service to keep operations running efficiently
• Build culinary knowledge and technical ability under the supervision of experienced chefs

Qualifications and Competencies

Applicants should have prior exposure to a Commis I or Commis II role in a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant. A basic culinary qualification or formal kitchen training is an advantage. The ideal candidate understands food hygiene standards, can perform well in a busy, high-pressure environment, works well with others, and is open to learning. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays is required.
