Commi 3 - Food Preparation Specialist

Position Overview

This role involves preparing various food ingredients through portioning, chopping, peeling, washing fresh produce, measuring, mixing, and cooking according to standardized recipes and quality benchmarks. The Commi 3 also operates kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, microwaves, and fryers, ensuring food safety and presentation standards are met consistently.

Daily Duties

• Prepare and measure ingredients accurately for cooking processes.
• Wash and peel vegetables and fruits thoroughly.
• Operate kitchen appliances safely, including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Cook and assemble cold and hot food items as per guidelines.
• Assess food readiness through testing to ensure proper cooking.
• Set up and dismantle workstations responsibly to maintain order.
• Serve food in designated portions using appropriate receptacles.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen tools, utensils, surfaces, and equipment through washing and disinfecting routines.
• Monitor and confirm correct appliance and food temperatures are maintained.
• Adhere strictly to all safety, security, and company policies while reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive work environment and collective goal achievement.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing or moving for entire shifts, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and bending or stooping as needed.
• Fulfill any additional reasonable job tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• A minimum of one year experience in related food preparation roles is preferred.
• No supervisory experience necessary.
• No licenses or certifications are mandatory for this position.
