Role overview
Arjo is seeking a commercially minded sales leader to take charge of its Ireland business as Commercial Solutions Manager. This position is aimed at an experienced professional who can create profitable growth, spot and develop high-value opportunities, and guide a strong-performing team across the Republic of Ireland. The role is field-based and reports to the National Commercial Manager.
What the role involves
You will shape the commercial approach for Ireland, turn pipeline opportunities into revenue, and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. The role focuses on driving customer-led solutions across Arjo’s portfolio, supporting tender activity, and working across functions to support sustainable growth in market share and revenue.
Key responsibilities
- Increase sales performance and profitability across the Republic of Ireland.
- Coach, guide, and develop the Ireland commercial team so targets are met and exceeded.
- Develop strong relationships with senior contacts in HSE, private hospitals, care groups, architects, and contractors.
- Create and pursue new business opportunities across Arjo’s product and solution range.
- Work with internal teams such as Rentals, Service, Mobility Outcomes, Sales Support, and Marketing to deliver solution-based selling.
- Handle tender opportunities and assist with purchasing processes.
- Prepare and roll out annual business plans, forecasts, and sales strategies.
- Share market and competitor insights to help support growth.
- Maintain a structured and consistent sales process using planning and reporting tools.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be a confident, target-driven commercial leader with a track record of delivering results. You should have experience in a customer-facing sales or commercial management role and be comfortable influencing senior decision-makers while leading others to perform.
Requirements and experience
- Proven achievement in sales and/or commercial management.
- Strong capability in leadership, coaching, and team development.
- Experience in healthcare, preferably within medical devices.
- Knowledge of the Irish healthcare market, including HSE procurement and tendering.
- Sound commercial judgement, including forecasting, CRM use, and quotation management.
- Strong written and verbal communication, plus relationship-building ability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and teams.
- A proactive, resilient, and customer-first approach.
- Valid Irish driving licence.
- Eligibility to work in both Ireland and the UK.
- Enhanced Garda vetting.
Additional information
- Location: Field-based across the Republic of Ireland.
- Employment type: Full-time, permanent.
- Reporting line: National Commercial Manager.
- Travel: Regular travel across ROI and UKI, with occasional overnight stays.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary for this role is €70,000 to €75,000. Arjo also offers a company car, bonus scheme with OTE of €90k, private medical insurance, pension, holiday buy and sell scheme, and other benefits.
