About the Role
TNZ is seeking a commercially aware and relationship-focused Commercial Partnerships Manager. The position is centred on increasing revenue through strategic partnerships, creating new commercial opportunities, and assisting with philanthropic work. You will collaborate with senior leaders, partners, athletes, and internal teams to build partnerships that deliver meaningful value and measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
The role covers revenue strategy, commercial partnership management, event activations, philanthropic support, and financial reporting. It includes identifying new opportunities, strengthening partner relationships, supporting events such as the ASB Classic, and helping track partnership performance.
Revenue and Strategy
- Create and roll out fresh strategies to grow sponsorship and commercial income.
- Spot and pursue new partnership opportunities.
- Help generate revenue from digital channels and content.
Commercial Partnerships
- Develop and maintain durable relationships with partners.
- Oversee partnership activations and make sure sponsor commitments are delivered.
- Work with teams on campaigns, reporting, and engagement activity.
- Handle new partner onboarding and support partner retention.
Events and Activation
- Assist with partner activations at events, including the ASB Classic.
- Coordinate branding, hospitality, and the overall partner experience.
- Support VIP and alumni engagement activities.
Philanthropy and Funding
- Support strategies for donors and corporate giving.
- Prepare grant applications and identify funding opportunities.
- Build and nurture long-term donor relationships.
Financial and Reporting
- Contribute to budgeting, reporting, and financial monitoring.
- Track partnership results and measure outcomes.
About You
You are a self-starting relationship builder with strong commercial instincts and the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment. The role requires someone already based in Auckland, New Zealand, or willing to relocate there.
