Role Overview
This full-time role as Commercial Operations & Logistics Lead at Jiahua Chemicals Inc., based primarily in Houston, TX, offers a hybrid work schedule with some remote flexibility. The incumbent will direct daily commercial operations for the US and Canadian markets, encompassing order processing, contract administration, and collaboration with customers, sales teams, finance, and supply chain departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer sales activities while applying comprehensive logistics expertise to plan and execute shipments efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with warehouses, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to guarantee timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Monitor and analyze sales and operational data, maintaining precise records within internal systems.
- Prepare detailed reports and sales forecasts supporting continuous improvement strategies.
- Address inquiries and resolve operational challenges from customers and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in pricing and margin reviews and enhance standard operating procedures and best practices.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Robust experience in business and commercial operations, especially in regional or cross-country contexts.
- Demonstrated sales capabilities combined with strong analytical skills to interpret data and improve business processes.
- Proven operations management background, preferably within logistics, supply chain, or chemical/industrial distribution sectors.
- Exceptional communication skills facilitating collaboration across functions and clear information delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Competent in ERP systems and common office applications, with knowledge of logistics or transportation management systems deemed advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work setting, efficiently balancing multiple priorities with great attention to detail.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial sectors and understanding of North American logistics regulations considered beneficial.
