Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is with a global healthcare organisation that needs a commercially astute analytics professional to support its ANZ operations. The role focuses on turning business data into practical insight that helps leadership make stronger decisions across sales, reporting, forecasting, pricing, tenders, market analysis and business planning.
This is a hands-on analytics position, but it goes well beyond building dashboards. You will work closely with the General Manager, Sales, Marketing and Finance teams to influence commercial choices, highlight opportunities and improve visibility across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reporting that helps the commercial team monitor performance, identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Track sales performance and key metrics.
- Design dashboards and data visualisations in Power BI and Excel.
- Contribute to market analysis, business planning and wider commercial strategy.
- Partner with sales and marketing to uncover margin improvement and growth opportunities.
- Assist with pricing, tender and contract analysis.
- Build forecasting models covering revenue, margin and cost scenarios.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Improve business systems, processes and the quality and visibility of data.
- Support new product launches, market modelling and business development initiatives.
Candidate profile
The ideal person will combine commercial awareness, strong analytical capability and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders. You should be comfortable translating data into meaningful recommendations, not just presenting figures.
Additional requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience in business analytics, commercial finance, sales operations, revenue analytics or commercial excellence.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Excel.
- Proven experience producing dashboards, reporting packs and commercial insights.
- Strong understanding of revenue, margin, pricing and forecasting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders across sales, marketing, finance and executive teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and solid data validation skills.
- Comfort presenting recommendations and insights to stakeholders.
- Experience with CRM, ERP, SQL, Tableau, Python or R will be viewed favourably.
- A qualification in data analytics, finance, accounting, statistics, economics or a related discipline.
Suitable backgrounds
This role would suit someone currently working in a similar position such as Commercial Excellence Specialist, Commercial Analyst, Commercial Finance Analyst, Sales Operations Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Revenue Analyst, Pricing Analyst, FP&A Analyst or Commercial Insights Analyst.
It is best suited to someone who is analytical, curious, accurate and commercially minded, and who enjoys working closely with senior leaders to turn data into clear, practical business actions. Experience in Life Sciences or FMCG would be an advantage.
Why this opportunity stands out
You will join an established healthcare business with strong visibility across ANZ. The role offers the chance to shape commercial decisions, strengthen reporting, support growth and act as a key partner to senior leadership.
Application note
If you enjoy working with data and want your insights to directly influence business decisions, this could be an excellent next step. A confidential discussion is available on request.
