Role Summary

This newly established leadership position as Commercial Finance Director will be essential in accelerating revenue growth, enhancing commercial effectiveness, and supporting the fulfilment of the organisation’s long-term strategic goals. Working closely with senior leaders, you will shape and execute commercial strategies for a major business unit, gaining significant exposure to executive stakeholders and influencing critical business decisions related to sales, pricing, profitability, and expansion initiatives. This role offers autonomy to develop commercial frameworks and lead growth efforts.

Core Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement commercial strategies aligned with revenue enhancement, profitability improvement, and sustainable business objectives.
• Collaborate effectively with sales leadership to elevate commercial performance, reinforce accountability, and capture growth potential.
• Direct pricing policies and margin management tactics to secure sustainable and profitable growth.
• Review and govern key commercial deals, ensuring assumptions are challenged and returns maximized.
• Identify avenues for revenue growth through superior commercial execution, customer engagement, and strategic projects.
• Analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes to guide commercial decisions.
• Work with senior leadership on value creation initiatives to boost business value and profitability.
• Act as a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, influencing strategic direction and promoting a commercial mindset across the organisation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial leadership roles such as Commercial Director, Head of Commercial, or Commercial Finance Director.
• Background in working within large corporates, multinational firms, or private equity backed businesses.
• Strong commercial insight with a successful record of driving revenue and profit improvements.
• Experience partnering with sales leadership and shaping commercial strategies.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership capabilities at the executive level.

Additional Information

The role reports directly to the Group CFO and involves close collaboration with senior leadership and commercial teams throughout the organisation.

Location: Dublin (Hybrid working arrangement)

Compensation: Salary range of €140,000 to €160,000 annually, with additional bonus, pension scheme, and health insurance benefits.
