Role overview
This is a senior commercial leadership position covering Europe outside the UK for an FMCG business in a period of major change. The role is focused on strengthening performance, accelerating growth, and creating long-term value across important international markets.
Reporting to senior management, you will oversee distributor-led markets across Spain, Germany, Belgium, the Nordics, and Eastern Europe, with Spain acting as a key commercial centre. A major part of the job will be to modernise the commercial function, develop stronger teams, and build a culture centred on high performance.
Key focus areas
- Steer commercial strategy across EMEA markets outside the UK.
- Lead and improve distributor-led operations in multiple European countries.
- Build capability within the commercial team and support stronger ways of working.
- Contribute to transformation initiatives that enhance the business for the long term.
- Work closely with senior leaders to influence regional direction and delivery.
Candidate profile
- Extensive senior commercial leadership background in beer, spirits, coffee, soft drinks, or the wider FMCG sector.
- Strong track record of managing distributor-led markets.
- Good knowledge of mainland Europe, especially Spain.
- Proven ability to lift commercial results and develop teams.
- Excellent analytical thinking combined with strategic judgement.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving environments.
- Fluent Spanish and English communication skills.
- Experience in private equity-backed settings would be beneficial.

Location
