Job description
Company Overview
This opportunity is with a leading UK food ingredients company known for transforming innovation into practical solutions for food manufacturers across the nation. Recognized for technical excellence, culinary innovation, and enduring partnerships, it is part of a successful €200 million European food group.
The group has already supported significant sales growth in the UK division and is now investing an additional £7 million in capital to enable a doubling of sales performance in the future.
Job Description
The Commercial Business Manager will be responsible for driving sales and profitability within a multi-million-pound portfolio of customers across northern and southern Ireland, focusing on B2B food manufacturing markets.
Main objectives include leading strategic solution-based sales, building strong relationships across procurement, NPD, and technical teams, co-developing business plans to uncover growth prospects, negotiating profitable agreements, and delivering long-term value through customized ingredient solutions.
This role commands full commercial leadership over the Irish market's customer business development strategies, supported by internal stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be commercially astute and solutions-oriented with a track record of profitable sales growth in B2B food manufacturing.
- Minimum of 5 years account management experience in ingredients, flavours, seasonings, or related food categories.
- Expertise in solution-based, profit-focused sales rather than volume-based selling.
- A genuine passion and curiosity for food and ingredient functionality.
- Confidence in presenting to senior leadership, managing complex negotiations, and collaborating with technical teams.
Additional Information
This role offers a highly competitive base salary plus bonus, an electric car or a £6,000 allowance, and other benefits. The position is home-based in Ireland, covering northern and southern regions.
Interested candidates should send their CV with current benefits details referencing MS/2928 for consideration. The closing date for applications is 28th August 2026.
Terms & Conditions
- Employment is full-time and onsite, based in Ireland.
- The company explicitly aims to respond to all applicants but cannot guarantee replies where high volumes are received; no response within 10 working days indicates an unsuccessful application.
