Role Overview
We are looking for a Collectibles Production Artist to craft original and adapted designs specifically tailored for collectibles, ensuring high-quality visual output for diverse intellectual properties such as entertainment, sports, anime, and gaming. This role involves preparing artwork meeting print specifications for metal substrates while managing licensor workflows and maintaining a cohesive design system.
Key Responsibilities
- Create unique collectibles designs when existing materials are inadequate.
- Modify and enhance existing Displate artworks to fit trading card dimensions by recomposing and retouching them.
- Consistently deliver high-volume outputs covering multiple entertainment genres.
- Format all artwork to comply with printing standards on metal surfaces.
- Oversee licensor approval processes including submissions and revisions specific to collectibles art.
- Develop and sustain the design framework for collectibles including templates, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Work closely with the Senior Creative Lead to align artwork and packaging aesthetics.
- Spot possibilities for exclusive series, chase variants, and collector-exclusive sets.
- Keep abreast with trading card game (TCG) market trends and collector preferences.
- Coordinate with Licensing for intellectual property rights, asset availability, and approvals.
- Interface with retail and sales teams to satisfy specific needs of distribution channels such as Target and Best Buy.
- Collaborate internationally with design teams on asset sharing and production standards.
