Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Coffee Roaster to join our Vijayawada team in a full-time, on-site capacity. This position involves roasting coffee beans according to precise profiles, vigilant monitoring of roast quality, and ensuring batch consistency. Daily duties include managing roasting machinery, documenting roast parameters, conducting cuppings to evaluate quality, and upholding a clean and safe roasting workspace. You'll collaborate with peers to enhance flavor profiles, assist in training staff on roasting and brewing techniques, and maintain clear communication regarding production schedules and inventory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in coffee roasting and specialty coffee, with a solid grasp of flavor profiles and roast levels.
- Proficiency in quality control practices, including sensory evaluation, cupping, and consistency assessments.
- Strong communication abilities for effective teamwork and sharing roasting insights.
- Experience or capability to train others on roasting processes, safety protocols, and brewing standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to follow and refine roasting profiles and keep accurate production records.
- Comfortable working in a production setting that involves lifting bags of coffee and standing for long periods.
- Previous experience in coffee roasting or specialty coffee production is highly preferred.
- A willingness to learn continuously, adapt to evolving standards, and uphold the brand's commitment to quality and cultural values.
