Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Lucknow for a Coal and Coke Trader. The role focuses on handling daily trading operations, spotting market opportunities, and managing purchase and sales negotiations. You will coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and clients while keeping a close watch on market pricing, demand patterns, and supply conditions to improve margins and limit exposure to risk. The position also includes preparing trading reports, maintaining internal records, and ensuring accurate documentation for contracts, dispatches, and payments. Working closely with operations, finance, and customer service teams will be important for smooth deliveries and consistent service quality.
Key Requirements
- Background in commodity trading, with coal, coke, or similar energy products as the preferred area of experience.
- Strong capability in negotiation, maintaining business relationships, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to evaluate market movements, pricing information, and supply-demand conditions.
- Comfort working with numbers and basic financial concepts such as margin, cost, and risk.
- Good organization and attention to detail for handling agreements and records accurately.
- Willingness to work from the Lucknow site and work closely with operations and logistics functions.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience in industrial, mining, power, or bulk commodity environments will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of standard office applications and basic reporting/data tools.
- Strong commitment to ethical conduct, compliance requirements, and safety practices.
