Job description
About the Company
JusPncorp India Private Limited is a farmer-focused production company working to connect local farming communities with broader markets through fair and sustainable trade. The organization helps farmers access resources, technology, and transparent selling opportunities so they can improve income and build stronger resilience. Its product focus includes sourcing premium rice, spices, dry fruits, and dal directly from dependable producers, with an emphasis on freshness, authenticity, and responsible cultivation. By partnering with JusPncorp, customers and collaborators help strengthen rural livelihoods while also supporting healthier consumer choices.
Role Overview
The Co-founder Investor position is a full-time role based in Coimbatore with a hybrid working arrangement that allows some work-from-home flexibility. The person in this role will contribute capital, help steer the company’s strategic direction, and take an active role in major decisions around sourcing, operations, and market growth.
Key Responsibilities
On a regular basis, the role may involve tracking business performance, supporting partnerships with farmer collectives, assessing new product ideas, and working on branding as well as go-to-market plans. The co-founder investor will collaborate closely with the founding team to sharpen the business model, shape a strong internal culture, and engage with key stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, and potential funding partners. The position also carries responsibility for governance, risk oversight, and planning for long-term expansion in domestic markets and, eventually, international ones.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should bring experience in agribusiness, food supply chains, social enterprises, or rural development, along with an understanding of farmer-centered business models. A background in entrepreneurship, venture building, or early-stage investing is important, especially with exposure to business planning, financial modeling, and strategic decision-making. Strong financial understanding is needed, including budgeting, investment evaluation, and familiarity with measures such as margins, cash flow, and return on investment.
Stakeholder and Business Development Skills
The role also requires strong partner-management abilities, including negotiation and relationship building with farmers, distributors, and institutional buyers. Experience contributing to brand strategy, market-entry planning, and customer acquisition in food and agriculture-related markets will be valuable. The person should be comfortable working closely with a small founder-led team in a hybrid setup and should communicate and collaborate effectively.
Commitment and Preferred Background
This opportunity calls for someone ready to make a long-term commitment, share responsibility for business outcomes, and support ethical, sustainable, and inclusive practices. A bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, agriculture, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience in relevant sectors is also strongly valued.
