Job Overview

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company is currently seeking a precise and technically adept CMM Quality Inspector to join its Machining Shop within the Operations Division located in Ras Al Khair, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role involves conducting thorough dimensional inspections of manufactured components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, CAD models, and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CMM machinery to carry out first article, in-process, and final inspections of components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols, and analyze CAD data accurately.
  • Perform dimensional measurements employing manual instruments such as micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and bore gauges.
  • Document and analyze inspection findings in line with company quality protocols.
  • Develop and modify inspection programs on Mullen CMM machines using Inca3D software.
  • Set up parts and fixtures on the measuring table, ensuring correct alignment and secure clamping.
  • Regularly calibrate CMM devices to maintain precision standards.
  • Produce detailed inspection reports and maintain comprehensive quality records.
  • Record and report all deviations, defects, and non-conformities detected during inspection.
  • Communicate inspection outcomes to production and engineering teams to support corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, API, and other applicable standards governing inspection procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a closely related discipline.
  • Certification as a CMM Inspector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience conducting dimensional inspections using CMM equipment.
  • Experience inspecting large-scale parts and products compliant with API 6A and 5B standards.

Technical and Personal Skills

  • Profound understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles.
  • Proficient in using Mullen CMM machines and programming them with Inca3D software.
  • Skilled at interpreting complex technical drawings and CAD models efficiently.
  • Familiarity with ISO and API quality assurance standards.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality assurance, and measurement accuracy.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with analytical capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills complemented by a cooperative team spirit.
