In this focused role, you will guide customers through the often difficult experience of total vehicle loss by blending thorough claims expertise with compassionate service. Your work supports our mission to deliver fast, fair, and exceptional experiences for those facing such challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and manage total loss vehicle claims from start to finish while complying with company policies and relevant state and federal laws to ensure equitable and timely resolutions.
  • Assess vehicle valuations and estimate paperwork to determine total loss status accurately and calculate fair settlement amounts.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with customers throughout the total loss process, clarifying settlement details, lienholder information, salvage procedures, title requirements, and subsequent steps.
  • Engage in negotiation with customers and third parties to facilitate prompt and fair settlements aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors, adjusters, and internal departments to handle complex claims and provide smooth customer experiences.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all claim-related activities to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Support team goals and contribute to process enhancements for improving customer satisfaction and operational outcomes.
  • Work closely with Title Express and Copart to manage title paperwork and the sale of salvage vehicles.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in auto claims handling, preferably with emphasis on total loss claim management.
  • Solid understanding of claims regulations, valuation methodologies, and settlement protocols related to total losses.
  • Exceptional skills in research, negotiation, and problem-solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex insurance concepts for customers.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation expertise.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in teamwork settings within a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Familiarity with contemporary claims management platforms such as Blender, Copart, and Mitchell, plus cloud-based tools like Google Workspace, Workday, and Slack.
  • A genuine interest in technology and AI, with a culture that values continual learning and adaptation in this area.
  • Possession of, or willingness to obtain within the first three months, an adjuster's license maintained in good standing as per company policy.
  • Capability to perform duties in a remote work setup.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
