Role Overview

As a Cloud Architecture Consultant at DDS IT, you will lead clients through their cloud transformation journeys. Your role involves advising and architecting cloud solutions from discovery through to implementation and optimization to ensure they are secure, resilient, and aligned with business goals. You will work collaboratively with sales, account management, and delivery teams to design scalable solutions and promote cloud modernization.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate customer discovery workshops, architectural discussions, and technical advisory sessions.
• Design and maintain cloud architectures focusing on security, reliability, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.
• Drive initiatives for cloud migration, modernization, and transformation across infrastructure, applications, and workplace technologies.
• Collaborate closely with sales and account teams to define opportunities, develop proposals, and prepare Statements of Work.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to delivery engineers throughout projects.
• Create reusable architecture patterns, standards, and best practices to enhance DDS IT's cloud capabilities.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the Cloud Practice.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in architecting cloud solutions primarily using Microsoft Azure.
• Proven experience in cloud migration, transformation, and modernization projects.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery methods.
• Broad knowledge of identity management, networking, security, hybrid infrastructure, containerization, and governance in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of translating technical details into business outcomes.
• A practical, hands-on approach combined with commercial insight and problem-solving skills.
