Where you'll work

Job description

Overview

This is a practical, participant-facing clinical research role based in London. You will be closely involved in the running of clinical studies, supporting treatment sessions, arranging participant visits, and helping to deliver trials day to day.

You will be joining an established organisation focused on innovative non-invasive treatment technologies, alongside an experienced clinical team that carries out a large share of its research internally.

Key Duties

  • Support clinical studies from initial setup through to study completion.
  • Arrange participant appointments and coordinate everyday trial activities.
  • Handle informed consent and maintain participant-related paperwork.
  • Assist with procedures and assessments driven by the study protocol.
  • Help deliver non-invasive investigational treatments.
  • Use specialist imaging and photography equipment.
  • Capture study information accurately and keep trial records up to date.
  • Work directly with participants across the clinical trial journey.
  • Support adherence to ICH GCP, ISO 14155, and internal operating procedures.

Ideal Background

This position will appeal to someone already involved in clinical research who enjoys hands-on study delivery and wants a bigger role in participant interaction and clinical operations.

It may suit candidates currently working as a Clinical Trial Assistant, Clinical Trial Associate, Clinical Research Coordinator, Clinical Research Administrator, or as a Research Nurse or healthcare professional with exposure to clinical research.

Required Experience and Capabilities

  • Prior involvement in clinical trials or wider clinical research work.
  • Working knowledge of ICH GCP principles.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting or a role involving direct patient contact.
  • Strong organisational ability and close attention to detail.
  • Confidence when speaking with and supporting study participants.

Location and Working Pattern

The role is primarily site-based in London. A strong on-site presence is expected during active studies, and the working week will be office-based for much of that time. Some hybrid flexibility may be available outside active study periods.

Eligibility

Applicants should only apply if they have unrestricted right to work in the UK, do not need sponsorship now or in the future, are based in London or within commuting distance, or are willing to relocate, and are targeting a salary in the £30,000 to £35,000 range.

Applications from candidates who would require current or future sponsorship cannot be considered.

Why This Opportunity

Unlike many Clinical Trial Assistant roles that focus mainly on administration, this position offers direct exposure to participant management, clinical procedures, study delivery, and trial operations. It is a strong opportunity for someone aiming to build a long-term career in clinical research.
