Clinical Team Lead - Certified Medical Assistant

About the Role

Hillside Medical Group, located in Killeen, TX, is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse with leadership experience to fill the position of Clinical Team Lead. This role involves managing Medical Assistants, supporting healthcare providers, and ensuring smooth clinic operations alongside exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide support to Medical Assistants and clinical team members.
• Conduct training on clinical processes and workflow practices.
• Optimize patient scheduling and minimize waiting times to enhance clinic efficiency.
• Assist healthcare providers with daily operational tasks in the clinic.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and OSHA regulations for compliance.
• Contribute to hiring processes, onboarding, and managing employee performance.
• Handle patient and staff issues in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant is mandatory.
• A minimum education level of high school diploma; further education is advantageous.
• At least two years of clinical experience is required.
• Preference for candidates with over one year in a leadership or supervisory position.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred or a commitment to acquire them within six months.
