About the Role
The Clinical Support Worker role is based on Ward M1, a 30-bedded nurse-led unit focused on providing care to older adults aged 74 and above. The ward is medically optimised to support safe care, maintain patient dignity, prevent deconditioning, and facilitate discharge planning. During winter or Trust capacity increases, bed capacity may expand to 40 beds. The ward also offers overnight care for one or two dermatology patients of any age, usually in side rooms, with dermatology clinicians retaining full responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and provide necessary personal and clinical care to patients.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient care on the Electronic Patient Record (Cerner) system following Trust and professional standards.
- Monitor patients and promptly report any condition changes or abnormal findings to registered professionals or doctors.
- Carry out basic housekeeping, stock management, and administrative tasks within the clinical setting.
- Perform clinical skills as outlined in the job description.
