About the role
An expanding international healthcare business is looking for a Clinical Science Liaison Manager to join its Medical Affairs function in Germany. The company focuses on advanced solutions for wound care and skin health, with a strong emphasis on scientific innovation, generating clinical evidence, and educating stakeholders to improve patient outcomes. This is a field-oriented position with close collaboration across healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, sales, R&D, and internal medical teams.
Clinical and scientific leadership
- Act as the subject-matter expert for the wound care and skin health portfolio.
- Develop trusted working relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
- Contribute to the start-up, delivery, and oversight of clinical evaluations and outcomes-focused projects.
- Gather, interpret, and share clinical evidence and real-world insights with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain structured databases of case studies and clinical evidence.
- Offer scientific input to healthcare professionals and commercial colleagues.
- Coordinate support for clinical and medical questions with the appropriate internal teams.
- Review educational and promotional content to confirm it is scientifically and clinically accurate.
Training and education
- Create and update educational materials and scientific reference resources.
- Run product and clinical training sessions for internal teams.
- Prepare scientific updates and literature reviews related to wound care and skin health.
- Deliver educational talks and workshops for healthcare audiences.
Therapy development and innovation
- Spot opportunities for new therapeutic uses and possible indications.
- Work with Medical Affairs, R&D, and commercial teams on innovation-driven initiatives.
- Feed field-based insights into future product development planning.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings a strong scientific background, substantial medical affairs experience, and confidence working independently in a remote setting. The role also requires regular interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders, along with willingness to travel within Germany and attend relevant national and international conferences when needed.
Education and experience
- A master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioscience Engineering, Healthcare Sciences, or a closely related area is required.
- Extra clinical or scientific credentials are considered an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Science Liaison, Medical Science Liaison, Clinical Specialist, or another comparable field-based scientific role is required.
- Background in wound care, dermatology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or similar therapeutic areas is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders is necessary.
