By collaborating with leading global manufacturers, the company has become a premier distributor across Ireland for laboratory consumables and equipment serving Clinical, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary, Academic, and Research sectors. Their offerings include diagnostics (such as Microbiology, Immunoassay, Clinical Chemistry, and Real-Time Molecular Diagnostics), blood collection systems, point-of-care devices, medical instrumentation, healthcare IT, calibration/validation services, and more.
Role Overview
The Clinical Sales Specialist (Histology) will focus on building and nurturing relationships with both existing and new clients to grow the company’s sales pipeline, delivering revenue in line with organizational goals. Success in this position requires the ability to work autonomously and in tandem with fellow sales colleagues, while consistently representing the company positively during all interactions with customers, partners, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Individually, and as a collaborative team member, support sales of clinical diagnostic instrumentation and solutions.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets to help drive company profitability.
- Deliver application support and provide training to customers on diagnostic equipment and processes.
- Act as a client-centered advocate, teaming up with Applications and Service departments to achieve shared objectives.
- Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and exhibitions as an active participant.
- Regularly travel throughout Ireland to maintain and develop customer relationships.
- Carry out additional duties as needed to support broader company initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ technical sales experience, ideally within laboratory/clinical settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Biology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field is required; histology expertise is especially valued.
- Demonstrated proficiency in solution selling methodologies.
- Hands-on exposure to diagnostic instrumentation, associated software, and relevant applications is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and work independently when remote.
- Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
- Eligibility for extensive travel within Ireland is essential.
- A full, clean driving license is required to enable frequent client visits.
