About the Role
Community Clinical Trials, a community oncology research organization operating within Genesis Medical Group in Spring, TX, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator. Our site is committed to health equity, providing access to oncology clinical trials for patients in the greater Houston area who might otherwise be excluded. Our small, hands-on team works closely with Principal Investigators, offering you significant responsibility for managing studies from initiation through completion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and Staff Manager to plan and conduct oncology clinical trials.
- Manage the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of study participants.
- Organize participant visits and clinical study procedures efficiently.
- Screen and obtain informed consent from participants, ensuring they understand study protocols.
- Support participants throughout the course of the study, coordinating follow-up visits as needed.
- Maintain precise study data using CRIO Clinical Trial Management System.
- Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and upkeep of regulatory documentation.
- Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards and clinical research regulations.
- Act as a liaison among sponsors, Principal Investigator, and study participants to facilitate communication.
- Identify and address any challenges encountered during the study process promptly.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience coordinating oncology clinical trials is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GCP and clinical research compliance.
- Proficiency in Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems; familiarity with Medidata or Veeva Vault is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail to manage multiple protocols simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not explicitly required.
- Willingness to travel up to 45% of the time as required by study needs.
- Availability to occasionally work evenings or weekends to accommodate participant scheduling.
