Role Overview

We are seeking a well-organized, proactive Clinical Placement Coordinator to provide parental leave cover at our Auckland CBD campus. This full-time, fixed-term role until June 2027 offers an exciting opportunity to support nursing students (ākonga) and clinical partners, ensuring placements are efficiently managed and provide exceptional learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical placements for nursing students across various private healthcare settings, including student assignments, scheduling, and related documentation.
  • Maintain and nurture placement partnerships through ongoing communication with healthcare providers.
  • Offer operational support to the Strategic Relationships and Development Lead to secure the smooth delivery of clinical placements.
  • Assist with enrolments for preceptor training courses.
  • Participate in ongoing improvement of placement-related processes and systems.
  • Promote and uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Māori, and culturally safe practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in coordinating programs, projects, services, or schedules.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks with great attention to detail.
  • Strong skills in relationship building, communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and database or CRM software.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of working autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality results.
  • Understanding of, or commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally safe practice.

Experience in healthcare, tertiary education, workforce coordination, or student placements is advantageous but not mandatory.
