Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for seasoned clinical and operational professionals from major hospital systems and academic medical centers who can help construct realistic enterprise environments and create complex, real-world workflow tasks for evaluating and training advanced technology agents.
Key responsibilities
- Create a believable digital workspace that reflects how your team actually operates, including shared drives, service-line dashboards, quality and safety reports, staffing plans, budgets, email exchanges, and any relevant system exports or artifacts such as Epic/Cerner files, PACS material, or coding tools.
- Develop multi-step scenarios based on genuine workflows that require moving across several applications, documents, and stakeholders at a substantial level of difficulty.
- Work asynchronously with other specialists from hospitals and health systems to define task boundaries, check scenario realism, and maintain strong operational accuracy.
- Partner with research staff to improve task structures and the criteria used to evaluate healthcare operations benchmarks.
- Support research that will influence how next-generation systems are trained and measured.
Candidate profile
- You should bring significant full-time experience from a large US hospital system, academic medical center, or integrated delivery network.
- Relevant experience may be in clinical operations such as nursing leadership, service lines, perioperative services, or the emergency department; hospital or health-system administration; revenue cycle; utilization management; quality and safety; or value-based care program operations.
- Practical, day-to-day familiarity with tools such as Epic or Cerner, Philips IntelliSpace or Sectra PACS, and/or NLM UMLS or 3M CodeFinder is important.
- You need strong analytical and writing ability to convert complicated hospital workflows into clear, structured task specifications.
- This role suits someone who is comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous setting with research-focused collaborators.
Compensation and work style
Pay is approximately $1,750 to $2,150 for each completed task, with performance bonuses available for standout contributors. Top performers may later move into an hourly arrangement. The engagement is fully remote, offers a flexible schedule, and is structured as an ongoing independent contractor contract with possible extension based on performance.
