About the Role
Leica Biosystems is looking for a Clinical & IT Applications Consultant for its Digital Pathology business in Saudi Arabia. The position focuses on turning clinical and IT needs into practical, revenue-focused solutions that support customers through digital transformation. The role is part of the META Digital Pathology organization, reports to the Regional Sales Manager, META – Digital Pathology, and is based in Saudi Arabia with a fully remote working setup.

Key Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with customers and important stakeholders across clinical, IT, and procurement functions, while serving as a trusted advisor.
- Convert customer workflows, needs, and operational limitations into complete, scalable solution designs.
- Create digital pathology architectures that may include whole slide imaging, image management systems, AI, LIS integration, and the supporting infrastructure.
- Conduct advanced product and workflow demonstrations for both clinical and IT audiences.
- Support and prepare technical and clinical tender submissions, including compliance matrices, bills of quantities, and solution architectures.
- Identify, size, and verify third-party IT requirements and quotations for items such as servers, storage, and networking.
- Train pathologists, laboratory teams, and IT personnel on both clinical and technical aspects of the solution.
- Assist with deployment activities and contribute to optimization after go-live.
Requirements
- A degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or Health Informatics is required.
- A background that blends clinical and IT knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Experience with LIS integration, DICOM/HL7, PACS workflows, servers, and cloud-based infrastructure is expected.
- Hands-on exposure to pre-sales activities, product demonstrations, and tender processes is necessary.
- Prior work in laboratory or pathology settings is important.
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills are needed, along with the ability to present a clear solution-led value proposition.
- Willingness to travel within the country up to 75% is required for nationwide coverage.
- Occasional international travel may also be needed.
Preferred Experience
Experience with digital pathology platforms, pathology imaging software, or AI-enabled solutions would be an added advantage.
