Job description
Position Overview
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Clinical Fellow specializing in Gynaecological Cancer Prevention. This role is based in the EGA Wing, focusing on colposcopy and familial cancer, under the supervision of consultant clinical lead Dr Adam Rosenthal.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient clinic services, participate in operating lists predominantly involving laparoscopic risk-reducing surgeries and colposcopic procedures.
- Participate in daytime acute gynaecology on-call duties and conduct departmental audits.
- Engage in colposcopy training initially under direct supervision; progress to running colposcopy clinics under indirect supervision upon sufficient training.
- Attend and support familial cancer clinics, eventually managing patients under indirect supervision.
- Assist with risk-reducing and colposcopy surgical procedures such as LLETZ and knife or needle cone biopsy, gaining laparoscopic surgical competencies.
- Recruit participants for ongoing clinical trials and aid in sample collection relevant to these studies.
- Contribute to administrative responsibilities, educational activities, departmental audits, and research projects within the gynaecological oncology department.
