Job description
Overview
This position offers a chance to work within a dynamic, innovative, and supportive paediatric department at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). Starting on September 7th, 2026, this 6-month contract role (ending February 27th, 2027) is designed for clinical fellows at the ST1-3 level, providing excellent training and opportunities for professional growth.
Role Responsibilities and Structure
The post encompasses general paediatric care across both paediatric emergency department and inpatient wards, alongside opportunities to observe outpatient clinics tailored to the fellow's interests. Working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with participation in a junior level on-call rota comprising day shifts, long days, and nights distributed among ten trainees.
Additional on-call locum work is available via the hospital bank for interested candidates, offering further experience during weekends or extended shifts.
