Clinical Data Analyst

About the role

This opportunity sits within the SDS Ops team and focuses on clinical data analysis in support of HEDIS and STARs data collection. The position helps coordinate remote data gathering through DataRAP, Cozeva, and other related tools. You will be responsible for weekly tracking of mined members, outbound calls, chart retrieval, and effectiveness, along with quality and productivity metrics. The role also includes quality assurance reviews and data analysis throughout the year to maintain accurate reporting and spot emerging patterns. You will work closely with the Manager of Data Analytics, a Senior Clinical Analyst, and the leadership group to keep year-round data collection and abstraction on track.

The role is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and share reporting for SDS Ops work, including quality and productivity metrics.
• Build weekly work assignments based on open gaps and the number of members available for remote data mining.
• Review data to identify inconsistencies or missing elements and communicate findings.
• Help design and document process improvements.
• Contribute to refinement of HEDIS and STAR data collection tools and strategies when needed.
• Support hybrid workflows when required, including reporting on charts reviewed and overall effectiveness.
• Take part in user acceptance testing and support coordination for system changes and upgrades.
• Complete required training on HEDIS and STAR measures.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in business or clinical analytics.
• At least 2 years of healthcare experience, including work in a managed care environment.
• At least 2 years of process improvement experience.
• At least 1 year of HEDIS experience, or experience with similar regulatory reporting.
• Intermediate-level ability with Microsoft Office applications, including databases and word processing tools.
• Intermediate proficiency with Visio and Excel.
• Strong presentation abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse credential.
• Certified Professional Coder certification.
• PMP certification.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications, including databases and word processing.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Compensation and benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position is between $60,200 and $107,400, depending on factors such as local market conditions, education, experience, and certifications. Along with pay, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contributions, subject to eligibility. Minimum wage laws will be observed where applicable.
