About the Role
Celebration Health & Wellness, a distinguished private practice specializing in Women’s and Children’s Health with over 20 years of experience in OBGYN and Pediatrics, is seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator for Obstetrics Triage. This hybrid position requires residency within Central Florida and includes working remotely with an expectation to attend the office once a month. Key Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls and messages to determine clinical urgency and needs.
- Prioritize patient care by directing individuals to appropriate services such as same-day appointments, emergency interventions, or routine visits.
- Provide patient education and guidance under the supervision of healthcare practitioners.
- Handle an estimated volume of 75 calls daily related to obstetric care.
- Arrange follow-up visits, specialist referrals, and schedule treatments including iron transfusions and IV hydration for pregnancy-related conditions like hyperemesis.
- Maintain effective communication channels among patients, providers, and external medical entities.
- Diligently document and manage patient information to ensure availability for healthcare teams.
- Ensure timely submission of prenatal records to affiliated hospitals.
- Perform additional duties as delegated by management to support organizational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Residency within Central Florida is mandatory.
- Minimum of two years’ clinical experience within OB/GYN or equivalent healthcare settings.
- Strong foundational knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology, including medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
- Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and clinical judgment abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient interpersonal and teamwork capabilities to foster constructive relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) and general computer literacy.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
Preferred Experience
- Multilingual, with strong preference for Spanish language skills.
- Background in patient triage, care coordination, and administrative healthcare functions.
- Prior employment in medical office or clinical practice settings.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and related administrative procedures.
- Familiarity with Athenahealth and/or Epic EMR platforms.
- Three or more years of customer service experience.
- Extensive use of medical terminology and computer skills in professional healthcare environments for three or more years.
