Job description

Role overview

The Clerk/Stenographer supports the school office by providing administrative, secretarial, and front-office assistance to both internal and external stakeholders. Working under the guidance of the administrator and alongside the Senior Administrative Support – Elementary, this role helps keep daily office operations organized and running smoothly.

Schedule

This is a part-time position for 21 hours per week. The schedule is to be determined, but is expected to include four afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and one full day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Grade 12 diploma and demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities, along with solid oral and written communication skills. The role also calls for the ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, stay organized, and handle secretarial and word processing tasks effectively. Basic proficiency in MS Word is required, and experience using Outlook is expected.

Experience with PowerSchool, SchoolCash.net, JDE, attendance processes, and EasyConnect is preferred. First Aid, CPR, and Microsoft Publisher knowledge would be considered an advantage.
