Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Clerk of Works to join our Dublin team. This role focuses on overseeing and advancing quality control and assurance processes across diverse construction projects, ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the enforcement and management of construction quality systems across all company projects.
- Design and uphold Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols in alignment with industry and corporate standards.
- Conduct quality audits, inspections, and ensure compliance across multiple construction sites.
- Advise and support project teams regarding quality issues and improvements.
- Guarantee compliance with Irish Building Regulations, projects’ specifications, and industry standards.
- Oversee the detection, documentation, and resolution of defects through corrective actions.
- Work collaboratively with design teams, subcontractors, and consultants to address and resolve quality concerns.
- Assist teams during project commissioning, handovers, and client inspections.
- Provide mentorship and training to onsite teams on quality standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Alternatively, substantial trade experience combined with proven capability in quality management is acceptable.
- Between 8 to 10 years of construction industry experience, particularly in quality inspection or management roles.
- Experience in large residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects.
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing QA/QC systems within construction environments.
Knowledge and Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of Irish Building Regulations and building standards.
- Familiarity with contemporary construction techniques and building systems.
- Proficiency in quality control systems and site-specific quality procedures.
- Ability to analyze technical drawings, specifications, and relevant compliance documents.
- Strong leadership qualities coupled with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
- Expertise in quality reporting, documentation, and audit management.
