Role Summary
The Cleaning Specialist position is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Orillia, ON. The successful candidate will handle routine as well as more detailed cleaning work across commercial and residential settings. Typical tasks include dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, and disinfecting surfaces. Work may also involve cleaning offices, shared areas, washrooms, kitchens, windows, carpets, and other indoor spaces while following checklists and safety procedures.
Key Duties
- Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks in commercial and residential locations.
- Clean and sanitize desks, surfaces, shared areas, bathrooms, kitchens, windows, carpets, and other interior spaces as needed.
- Perform dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waste removal on a regular basis.
- Use cleaning tools, products, and equipment properly and safely.
- Follow established procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Maintain a professional manner and communicate respectfully with clients and coworkers.
- Report maintenance or facility concerns when noticed.
- Be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends when required.
Qualifications and Work Expectations
Applicants should be comfortable working in both office/commercial and home-cleaning environments. The role calls for someone who can follow directions and cleaning schedules carefully, with a strong focus on detail and quality.
