Role overview
This position is based in Kitchener, Ontario. The work schedule runs across Monday to Sunday. The hourly wage for this role is $19.25. This is an existing vacancy.

Key purpose of the job
The cleaner will help ensure the building remains clean, welcoming, and well-presented at all times. The role involves routine upkeep of shared spaces, washrooms, and surfaces through tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down glass and other areas.
Duties and responsibilities
- Keep common rooms, kitchens, and washrooms clean and maintained.
- Sweep and mop flooring as needed.
- Clean windows and keep blinds free of dust.
- Collect waste and dispose of it correctly.
- Store, maintain, and use cleaning tools and supplies safely and hygienically.
- Identify issues and report any needed repairs or replacements.
Skills and abilities
- Good understanding of cleaning chemicals, sanitation products, and cleaning methods.
- WHMIS certification is considered an advantage.
- Physical endurance and mobility to bend, kneel, and reach during cleaning tasks.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull loads of up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Must be able to successfully complete a Canadian background check.
