Overview
MoveSmart Rentals is seeking a dependable and meticulous Cleaner to service residential rental properties through various cleaning tasks including move-in/move-out, rental turnover, and ensuring properties are ready for listing. MoveSmart Rentals is a technology-enabled full-service leasing partner assisting landlords in leasing properties efficiently by managing listings across MLS and over 20 other platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled cleaning appointments at residential rental properties.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, appliances, floors, and other household surfaces following company standards and checklists.
- Remove dust, dirt, debris, garbage, and leftover items as necessary.
- Sanitize and wipe down counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and high-touch areas.
- Clean inside appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers.
- Perform deep cleans as required to ensure property readiness before photos, showings, inspections, or move-ins.
- Identify and report any damage, maintenance issues, junk removal necessities, pest problems, access complications, or safety hazards for follow-up handling.
- Take clear before-and-after photos and videos to document completed cleaning work.
- Provide detailed post-visit updates including notes, photos, and videos.
- Maintain professional communication with landlords, applicants, tenants, and internal team members.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning roles such as cleaner, housekeeper, or cleaning contractor, preferably in residential settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of standard residential cleaning practices and protocols.
- Access to reliable personal transportation to attend multiple property locations.
- Possession of all necessary cleaning tools and supplies for each job.
- Comfortable working independently at residential properties.
- Ownership of an iPhone 13 or a similar quality smartphone capable of taking high-resolution photos and videos.
- Strong written communication skills for recording clear notes and updates.
- Highly organized, punctual, professional, and detail-focused.
- Ability to follow instructions thoroughly including checklists and access directions.
- Respectful communication with all parties involved throughout rental processes.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in move-in/move-out and rental turnover cleaning.
- Proficiency in preparing rental properties for listing, showings, inspections, and move-ins.
- Ability to detect property damages, maintenance issues, and other concerns requiring follow-up.
- Prior work experience independently servicing rental properties within property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services sectors.
