Job description

Role overview

ClaimsPro LP is looking to add a part-time Claims Service Representative to its team. This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere in Canada. The role is centered on delivering prompt, customer-first support to policyholders who call in to report insurance claims. You will record the initial loss details, track the related actions, decide—based on established procedures—whether an adjuster needs to be involved right away, and coordinate with vendors when necessary.

The posted hourly pay is in the range of $18.05 to $25.08. The role also notes part-time compensation at $19.50 per hour.

Remote work requirements

  • A stable high-speed internet connection is required for remote work, with both download and upload speeds of at least 50 Mbps.

Schedule and working conditions

  • This position follows a rotating seven-day schedule.
  • Shifts are 8 hours long and can fall between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m.
  • Working weekends is mandatory.

Key duties

The role involves reviewing call reports to confirm calls were properly closed and then routing complete and accurate reports as needed. You will also handle branch inquiries, direct them to the correct team, and support service delivery by keeping records of service issues, analyzing root causes, identifying patterns, and suggesting improvements to management. In addition, you will assess claim details to determine the correct next steps in line with client guidelines and service agreements.

Qualifications

Applicants should have post-secondary education and at least one year of experience in customer service or administrative work. Experience in insurance, service industries, or a related field is preferred. Strong computer and phone skills are important, along with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Clear written and verbal English communication, close attention to detail, strong organization, solid time management, good judgment, and the ability to handle challenging customer situations are all essential. The ideal candidate works well in a team, stays focused on quality and customer service, adapts readily to change, and responds effectively when work demands shift unexpectedly.

Accessibility and recruitment notes

Applications from people with disabilities are encouraged. Accommodations can be provided upon request throughout the hiring and assessment process.

The company does not accept unsolicited candidate submissions from third-party recruitment agencies and will not pay fees for placements that result from such submissions. Direct applications from candidates are welcome.
