Role Overview
As a Claims Officer, you will deliver professional customer service by processing wage calculations, reviews, and back payments for employers and injured workers with precision and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with internal and external parties to collect required information for accurate weekly payment computations.
- Perform wage and back pay calculations promptly to meet departmental performance goals.
- Manage and respond to emails received in shared inboxes.
- Maintain and update reporting spreadsheets and systems daily to limit delays.
- Conduct wage computations and reviews applying average weekly earnings or federal minimum wage standards.
- Review colleagues' calculations to ensure error-free outcomes and address discrepancies.
- Complete economic adjustment reviews in accordance with legislation for claims over one year old.
- Gather data and compute arrears for weekly payments or back pays.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in data entry with focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong administrative abilities combined with excellent customer service skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Outstanding organization and time management capabilities.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
