Role overview

This opportunity is with a respected Irish insurance company that is expanding its claims function. The position is based in Dublin 12 with a hybrid setup, requiring two days per week in the office. It reports to the Claims Manager and offers a salary in the range of €34,000 to €40,000.

The employer is open to candidates already working in claims as well as insurance professionals who want to move into a claims-focused position. Comprehensive training will be provided.

What you will do

  • Handle motor claims from first notification through to settlement, taking responsibility for each file, collecting the necessary details, assessing liability, and resolving claims within your decision-making authority.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, brokers, and external service partners, supporting them clearly and professionally throughout the claims process.
  • Make sound decisions, identify warning signs of possible fraud, and maintain precise and complete records.
  • Work closely with teammates, support workload management, and contribute to a constructive team culture.
  • Coordinate with loss adjusters, solicitors, and other relevant third parties where required.
  • Take part in training, project work, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Candidate profile

  • Previous experience in claims handling or broader insurance experience within a broker or insurer environment.
  • APA qualification in Personal & Commercial is mandatory.
  • Clear communication skills and strong organisational ability.
  • A practical, problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on customer service.
  • A proactive attitude and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
