Role overview
The company is looking for a Civil Engineer / Project Coordinator to take charge of civil construction projects in the UAE and ensure they are delivered in line with local regulations, authority approvals, quality expectations, budget limits, and planned timelines.
What you will do
- Handle the full lifecycle of civil projects, including design review, execution, and final completion for residential villas, mixed-use developments, commercial buildings, infrastructure works, and steel structures.
- Keep projects on track against approved schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Examine and coordinate IFC drawings, project specifications, BOQs, and technical submissions for villas and larger developments.
- Work with consultants, clients, developers, and government bodies such as Dubai Municipality, DDA, DCD, RTA, ADM, and Trakhees to secure approvals and arrange inspections.
- Prepare and manage execution plans, Primavera schedules, budgets, cash flow plans, procurement schedules, and manpower/resource allocation.
- Supervise site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure proper delivery of structural, architectural, MEP, and landscaping works.
- Run regular site progress and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to UAE HSE rules, project safety plans, and quality control procedures.
- Review and approve materials, subcontractors, and suppliers according to project requirements, authority rules, and contract terms.
- Spot technical issues, delays, and project risks, then apply corrective and mitigation actions promptly.
- Prepare and present progress updates, cost reports, and risk reviews to management and clients.
- Maintain project records, claims, variations, and contract administration in line with FIDIC requirements.
- Deliver completed projects with all approvals, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and completion certificates in place.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant UAE experience, especially in villa construction, steel structures, and mixed-use projects.
- Unlimited Construction License is preferred; G+6 minimum is acceptable.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Exposure to government and military infrastructure standards will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6.
- PMP or a similar project management certification is preferred.
- Valid UAE driving license.
