Role Summary
The MAP Group, a leading organization in construction and rehabilitation, is looking to strengthen its Production Department by recruiting a Civil Engineer to serve as Assistant Site Manager (Adjunto de Direção de Obra) based in the Lisbon Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate construction activities liaising with all Production Support Departments.
- Prepare and revise project budgets as needed.
- Conduct consultations, negotiations, and contracts for subcontracting works, material supplies, and equipment procurement.
- Implement and strictly monitor the project's work schedule.
- Manage daily human resources, materials, equipment, and cost controls ensuring quality and compliance with all hygiene, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Supervise quality control, safety, and environmental procedures on-site, coordinating closely with Safety Technicians and Foremen.
- Prepare measurement certificates for subcontractors and production records in collaboration with the project owner.
- Handle contractual management with the project owner and site inspection duties.
- Monitor and control the economic aspects of the construction contract.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree post-Bologna process in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Assistant Site Manager in reputable market-leading companies is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- Competent with general IT tools including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Project management software.
