Job description
Job Overview and Responsibilities
The Civil and Structural (C&S) Engineer is tasked with coordinating with consultants to develop structural elements and assisting the tender team in preparing technical submissions. The role involves participating in tenders, design activities, and construction management across various civil and structural projects. Specific duties include designing concrete and steel structures, supporting project managers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget, preparing and evaluating tender documents, and addressing site design issues.
The engineer will also coordinate with architectural, process, mechanical, electrical disciplines, and quantity surveyors, manage communication with consultants and subcontractors, lead junior team members, and handle submissions and approvals required by local authorities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in relevant roles.
- Proficient with AutoCAD software.
- At least 2 years experience designing reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Knowledgeable in preparing Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
- Capable of designing formwork for construction projects.
