Role Summary
This full-time on-site position in Qatar is for Civil and Mechanical Engineers who will be involved in planning, designing, and reviewing infrastructure and mechanical systems for travel- and tourism-related facilities, including terminals, transport hubs, and support buildings.
What You Will Do
- Develop and review technical drawings, design details, and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to keep work aligned with project requirements.
- Ensure construction and installation activities follow design intent, safety rules, and relevant local codes.
- Carry out site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.
- Support testing, commissioning, and resolution of technical issues during execution.
- Work with cross-functional teams and contribute to project schedules, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Prepare reports and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required; higher qualifications or credentials such as PMP or Chartered Engineer are an added advantage.
- Prior experience in infrastructure, construction, or mechanical systems projects is preferred, especially in transportation, tourism, or large commercial developments.
- Hands-on knowledge of engineering design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and civil or mechanical simulation tools is important.
- Understanding of both international and local engineering codes and standards is needed.
- Experience with site supervision, quality control, and safety oversight is essential, along with the ability to liaise with contractors, consultants, and regulators.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities are necessary for making technical decisions under pressure.
- Good written and spoken English is required for reports, specifications, and documentation; Arabic is beneficial.
- Comfort working in a multicultural environment and collaborating across disciplines is important.
- Candidates must be willing to work on-site in Qatar and attend field visits, inspections, and meetings as needed.
