Job description
About the Role
Maternal Wellbeing Marlborough (MWM) Charitable Trust hosts a weekly support group for new mothers and is seeking individuals who delight in spending time with babies and young children. The role involves joining a small team of child minders who provide care for children, enabling mothers to participate fully in group activities.
Responsibilities
Child minders will primarily be responsible for the supervision and care of babies while their mothers attend the support sessions.
Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 25 years old.
- Experience interacting with infants or young children is necessary.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team setting is essential.
- Applicants are required to be fully vaccinated against Whooping Cough; immunisation against Covid-19 is preferred.
- If the cost of the Whooping Cough vaccine is a barrier, candidates are encouraged to discuss this with MWM.
- A clear police background check is mandatory and will be facilitated by the organisation.
Time Commitment
The support group convenes every Tuesday starting at 9:30 AM at St Andrews Church in Blenheim. Child minders should arrive by 9:15 AM. Attendance every week is not guaranteed; confirmation will be provided on the preceding Monday based on group size.
Getting Started
Interested individuals should express their interest by completing the organisation's form. Upon receipt, MWM will contact candidates with further details and next steps.
