This opportunity is for a senior risk and compliance leader to join a rapidly expanding international fintech business as its Chief Risk & Compliance Officer (PCF). The position plays a central strategic role in shaping governance, ensuring regulatory adherence, and strengthening enterprise-wide risk management across several jurisdictions.
The successful hire will partner closely with the CEO, Board members, and senior leaders while heading a capable team responsible for compliance, risk, and transaction monitoring activities.
What you will do
- Set and drive the organisation’s overall risk and compliance direction.
- Strengthen and maintain enterprise risk management structures and controls.
- Lead oversight of compliance monitoring, AML/CTF frameworks, and financial crime prevention measures.
- Handle regulatory relationships, licensing matters, and formal submissions to authorities.
- Provide governance and risk oversight covering operational, technology, resilience, and compliance exposures.
- Support market expansion and commercial growth from a regulatory standpoint.
- Prepare risk reports and governance updates for executive leaders and board committees.
- Help build and sustain a strong risk-aware culture across the company.
- Manage, coach, and develop the Risk & Compliance function and its team members.
What we are looking for
- At least 10 years of experience in risk and compliance roles within financial services.
- Background in fintech and/or payments is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments.
- Solid understanding of AML/CTF, governance, consumer protection, and regulatory requirements.
- Direct experience dealing with regulators and presenting to board-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management strengths.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and strategic decision-making abilities.
