Role Summary
The Chief Operations Officer will be responsible for leading day-to-day business operations and turning the company’s vision into efficient, scalable systems. This remote leadership position requires close coordination across product, engineering, customer success, and business operations to keep execution aligned and consistent. Working with the CEO and senior leadership, the COO will shape operational priorities, set performance measures, manage budgets and resources, and build processes that support long-term growth.
Core Focus Areas
This role centers on improving operational performance across the organization while ensuring that governance, security, compliance, and risk considerations are built into everyday processes. The COO will also help identify bottlenecks, strengthen workflows, and establish frameworks that support high-performing teams. In addition, the position will contribute to fundraising, partnerships, and go-to-market planning by using operational insight and data to guide decisions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success leading operations, with experience in business planning, process scaling, and team growth in a fast-moving or technology-oriented environment.
- Strong ability to analyze data, define meaningful KPIs, evaluate performance, and inform strategic decisions.
- Solid financial planning and budgeting expertise, including forecasting, cost control, and allocating resources across teams.
- Experience in senior executive roles such as COO, VP of Operations, or similar positions, with a history of creating alignment across functions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills suited to a fully remote, distributed organization.
- Experience in SaaS, AI, cybersecurity, automation, or related technology areas is an added advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or a related subject is required; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Background in startup environments.
- Capability to contribute to fundraising efforts.
