Role summary
Foodhub is looking for a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to steer and scale its global operations from Dublin, Ireland. The position is based on-site and requires relocation if you are not currently located in Dublin. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive role sits at the centre of the company’s next growth phase as it expands across the UK, USA, ANZ, and India.
The business describes itself as a profitable, debt-free, fast-growing international technology company with sustained year-on-year growth. This is a senior leadership opportunity to help shape the operating model of a global scale-up during a period of organic expansion and acquisitions. The role also involves regular international travel to support alignment, performance, and local leadership across markets.

What you will lead
You will oversee day-to-day business operations across all regions and work closely with the CEO and executive team to convert strategy into execution. The role calls for a strong operator who can manage complex multi-market operations, improve performance, and build capable teams.
Responsibilities
- Direct global operations so they stay aligned with the company’s strategic goals and growth plans.
- Turn the business vision into clear operational plans with measurable KPIs and accountability.
- Improve efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement across every market.
- Work with the CEO and senior leadership to define and execute company-wide strategy.
- Oversee daily operations across regions with a focus on consistency, delivery, and compliance.
- Refine processes, systems, and workflows to support rapid growth and resilience.
- Coordinate smoothly across technology, customer support, finance, and commercial functions.
- Track operational results and introduce changes that improve productivity and service quality.
- Define and monitor performance metrics and ensure strong management of outcomes.
- Create accountability across regional and functional leaders to deliver targets.
- Spot operational risks and opportunities, and act early to address issues and improve results.
- Run regular business reviews with senior stakeholders.
- Build, guide, and develop a high-performing global operations team.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Support leadership growth and succession planning in key operational roles.
- Advise the CEO and leadership team on organisational structure and operating model design.
- Lead the creation and rollout of scalable systems and operational frameworks.
- Ensure the infrastructure is ready to support global expansion and entry into new markets.
- Encourage use of data, automation, and technology to improve efficiency and decisions.
- Partner with finance on budgets, cost management, and operational profitability.
- Identify ways to improve margins and allocate resources more effectively.
- Provide operational data and insight to support commercial decisions.
- Ensure compliance across all jurisdictions in partnership with legal and regional teams.
- Put in place robust governance and risk management processes.
- Maintain high standards of integrity, control, and accountability in operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a COO or in a comparable senior operational leadership position within a large global organisation, ideally one with 1,000 or more employees.
- Hands-on industry experience in food ordering, hospitality technology, or POS/EPOS is essential.
- Proven ability to scale operations across multiple countries and regions.
- Background in technology, platform businesses, or high-growth environments is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency, leading transformation, and supporting business growth.
- Strong financial understanding, including budget ownership and performance measurement.
- Experience leading large, varied, and geographically dispersed teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence board-level and executive audiences.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure.
- Degree in business, operations, or a related discipline; an MBA or similar qualification is preferred.
- Strategic, commercially aware, and able to execute with discipline.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Highly organised and comfortable managing complexity and competing priorities.
- Resilient, adaptable, and effective in a fast-moving, high-growth setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organisation.
- Culturally aware and experienced in working across international markets.
- Willing and able to travel internationally on a regular basis.
