About the Role
Our client, an emerging venture capital firm, is seeking a Chief of Staff to collaborate closely with senior leadership and act as a pivotal contributor in shaping strategy, operational efficiency, and execution. This role is suited for someone comfortable navigating ambiguity and eager to participate in building a venture firm from its early stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize internal workflows throughout the investment process lifecycle.
- Coordinate and facilitate weekly investment meetings and overall firm operations.
- Create and maintain systems and tools such as CRM platforms, Notion, and internal trackers to streamline execution.
- Provide support for overarching firm strategy and planning activities.
- Manage partnerships with external vendors including PR agencies, event organizers, and fractional marketing teams.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the firm’s brand identity and communication approaches.
- Organize events such as founder dinners and initiatives to engage the broader ecosystem.
- Establish and nurture relationships within targeted networks of founders, investors, and operators.
- Support secondary market transaction processes by coordinating with bankers, brokers, and legal partners.
- Contribute to investor communications and capital markets related projects, gaining insight into fundraising and limited partner engagement strategies.
- Lead or assist in firm-building tasks including office setup, vendor selection, and budgeting.
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires.
- Develop and manage a network of external advisors.
- Handle special projects as assigned to meet evolving firm needs.
Qualifications
- Between 3 and 6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Experience in roles such as management consulting, strategy or operations, or prior chief of staff positions.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities with a systematic and structured approach to complex challenges.
- Strong emotional intelligence combined with analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication proficiency.
- Proactive attitude with readiness to undertake diverse tasks regardless of scale.
- Ability to communicate clearly and engage effectively with demanding stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in environments that require adaptability amid shifting priorities.
- Interest or background in artificial intelligence, frontier technologies, or the venture capital industry.
