Job description

Role Overview

A global organisation is hiring a Chief of Staff to support a major transformation and help convert executive priorities into focused, measurable execution. This role sits close to the CEO and Executive Committee, ensuring decisions move forward, key initiatives stay visible, and leadership time is used effectively during a significant business repositioning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving CEO-backed initiatives, keeping strategic workstreams on track with clear escalation, and ensuring both internal and external CEO communications remain polished, consistent, and aligned to the message.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Translating the CEO’s priorities into structured workstreams with clear owners, milestones, and KPIs, while keeping cross-functional programmes moving.
  • Managing the CEO operating rhythm, including EXCO meetings, business reviews, action logs, and follow-through on decisions.
  • Planning and delivering quarterly EXCO offsites from start to finish, covering objectives, agendas, pre-reads, key decisions, outcomes, and post-event execution.
  • Preparing the CEO for major external engagements such as board and investor meetings, client and partner discussions, conferences, regulatory interactions, and media activity, including briefings, talking points, decisions required, and follow-up actions.
  • Developing CEO-facing internal communications with the support of Communications and People leadership, including townhalls, all-hands meetings, and leadership sessions.
  • Supporting M&A and other strategic transactions through diligence coordination, preparation of deal memorandums, and integration planning.
  • Leading special projects sponsored by the CEO, including strategy reviews, new operating models, restructures, and partnerships.

Experience and Skills

This role calls for someone with 5–8 years of experience gained in top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, or private equity, alongside operational leadership experience in a growth or transformation setting. The ideal candidate will be commercially sharp, financially astute, and confident working with models, deal structures, pipeline data, and KPI dashboards.

You should bring board-level presence, sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to manage senior stakeholders with a high degree of trust. Strong written English is essential, and working French would be an advantage. This is a high-agency role for someone who is structured, decisive, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to deliver without relying on formal authority. International travel is required.

Additional Information

If you are shortlisted, the team will make contact within five working days. If you do not hear back in that period, your application has not been successful on this occasion. The organisation also highlights its commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and considers candidates based on skills and experience without discrimination on the basis of age, gender, sex, relationship status, disability, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.
