Overview
The Chief of Staff at Spencer's, based in Soho within the New York City Metropolitan Area, is a full-time salaried position with a salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 annually. This role is pivotal in spearheading key growth initiatives for the company, including expanding new business locations, launching products, and other commercial ventures. The position demands converting strategic directions from executive leadership into detailed plans and delivering impactful results within a collaborative and ambitious work setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform the organizational vision into actionable strategies and results.
- Serve as an amplifying force for the CEO, enhancing their effectiveness.
- Act as the CEO's representative in both internal and external engagements, facilitating alignment, clear communications, and ensuring follow-up actions.
- Develop and critically evaluate important presentations, speeches, memos, and official correspondence for internal and external purposes.
- Lead comprehensive execution of significant cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to guarantee smooth information exchange so that priorities, decisions, expectations, and timelines are well communicated and adhered to.
- Spot and deploy improvements in planning and executing complex organizational projects by introducing scalable processes, tools, and best practices.
- Oversee budgeting processes and support financial planning across all departments.
- Create and manage Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) targeting operational gaps and business growth challenges.
- Convert strategic priorities into clear detailed organizational schedules that specify milestones, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Manage the CEO’s office including the supervision of any Personal Assistant(s).
- Coordinate the CEO’s schedule to maintain focus on initiatives that deliver maximum impact.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of five years working in dynamic, fast-paced environments such as startups, consulting firms, or rapidly growing consumer brands.
- An MBA or similar advanced degree is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering clear and compelling presentations with an executive demeanor.
- Strong strategic and analytical aptitude, able to distill complex data and provide definitive recommendations and actionable plans.
- Proven expertise in project management, with demonstrated success in leading multiple intricate projects from inception to completion.
- Ability to perform effectively in ambiguous situations, manage change, and balance strategic foresight with hands-on implementation.
- Experience supporting rapid organizational scaling and managing significant transitions.
- Prior experience collaborating directly with a Founder or CEO.
